1. Overview
Knit believes in flexibility and transparency. Customers may cancel a subscription at any time. This policy describes the cancellation procedure, effective dates and refund terms.
2. How to cancel
A subscription may be cancelled through one of the following methods:
- Email request: email support@knit.cash with the subject “Cancellation Request” and include the account name and registered email address.
- Account dashboard: sign in to the Knit dashboard, open Settings → Billing, and select “Cancel Subscription”.
- Phone support: contact the dedicated account manager or call +27 10 141 2770.
3. Notice period and effective date
Monthly subscriptions: cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Access continues until the final day of the paid period.
Annual subscriptions: cancellation during an annual term takes effect at the end of the current annual billing cycle. Annual subscriptions are not prorated for early cancellation unless expressly agreed in a separate service-level agreement.
4. Refund policy
Subscription payments are generally non-refundable. The supplied policy describes the following possible exceptions:
- Billing errors: customers who believe they were charged incorrectly must contact Knit within 30 days for investigation and a potential refund.
- Service failure: where platform unavailability significantly exceeds applicable SLA guarantees, a prorated credit or refund may apply.
- Cooling-off period: new Growth or Enterprise customers may qualify for a full refund when cancelling within seven days of the initial purchase, provided no significant usage volume has been incurred.
5. Data retention after cancellation
After cancellation, the account is deactivated at the end of the billing cycle. The supplied policy states that financial data will be retained for 90 days to support reactivation or export. After that period, data may be deleted from active servers in accordance with the Privacy Policy, although records may be retained for legal and accounting compliance.
